1. Know all vocabulary.

2. Understand observable properties (be able to list them) vs. measurable properties (list them)

3. Know how to measure the volume of regular and irregular solids. (Also, what is a “regular” or “irregular” solid?)

4. Be able to use, name, or describe all of the tools used to measure and calculate the density of objects.

5. Know how to explain why an item floats in water vs. items that will sink in water.

6. Know and be able to explain the major points in the particle model of matter.

7. Understand how objects change state, and describe sublimation.

8. Understand chemical vs. physical changes. What clues and evidences would you look for in determining if a change is chemical or physical.

9. Describe chemical changes in living and non-living environment. Explain how understanding these changes is important.
